Following many years of delays and setbacks, a number of new nuclear power stations were recently given Government approval and operating licences. Nuclear sites, by their very nature, need very high levels of security due to their status as Critical National Infrastructure (CNI). Due to the security status of the projects, CornerStone’s consultants needed to hold UK government security clearance. CornerStone’s UK HQ office was also assessed and was accredited to conduct particular elements of the project.

Following many years of delays and setbacks, a number of new nuclear power stations were recently given Government approval and operating licences. 

After graduating with a degree in Electronic Systems Engineering in 1986 I have since worked in the security industry in a number of positions including design engineering, management, marketing and project delivery. The thirty-plus years of experience has been with Access Control Systems manufacturers, systems providers and installers. This includes being director of a Systems Integration company from conception that became a by word for ‘total client satisfaction and was sold in 2004 to a FSTE 350 company. In January 2007 set up CornerStone GRG Ltd as an Independent Security Consultancy which has worked with a range of international clients in 50 plus countries. CornerStone’s good work has been recognised at seven times at the Security Excellence Awards by being named the ‘Security Consultant of the Year’ and consultancy of the year in 2020 and 2021 at the ‘National Building and Construction’ awards.

Narinder has travelled extensively around the world working on a variety of projects in the commercial and Government sectors which has given him a great depth of product knowledge on integrated security solutions. This includes Automated Access Control Systems (AACS), Video Management Systems (VMS), ANPR, Perimeter Intruder Detection systems (PIDS), PSIM, Intruder Detection Systems (IDS), Security Management Systems (SMS), IP solutions, RAD, Searching & Screening, Turnstiles and Road blockers.  With particular experience is Data Centre security where he has worked with some of the largest data centre providers in the world.

Narinder is active in the wider security industry including being a member of The Security Institute and a Liveryman in the Worshipful Company of Security Professionals.
